Html knowledge and marketing
Do we need html (HyperText Markup Language)skills in order to be a better affiliate? The answer is yes. Why? From my experience, most money made from clickbank came from some special knowledge in java script and making websites. Such knowlege did not came from ebooks or websites, but simply from traid and error. But if you dont know html, you can still make good money by many marketing methods. Common mistake in building clickbank affiliate links
This is a common mistake and I found many affiliate are still making it . I found this mistake in youtube videos promoting clickbank products. I found this mistake in email sent by affilaite.
Guess what? Many affiliate promote the affiliate like this: http://venderwebsitename.com?hop=affiliate-id. You will not make a cent even people buy from this link, because the buyer's browser will not have the cookie of you affiliate id. You are simply making money for vender only.
The correct link format should be : http://affiliate-id.vendr-id.hop.clickbank.net or using the hop link builder inside clickbank

Over the time I have found that people who manage to create nice looking websites and drive visitors to them are so happy with that, that they forget to really put a lot of efforts into monetizing them.
Whatever the traffic you get, if you don't make money with your web properties, then you're wasting your time.
The easiest way to monetize your website is to display banner ads.
The banner ads should be displayed above the fold so that they have maximum impact:
- top leadboard (728x90px)
- right or left sidebar: square /
rectangular ads (250x250px, 300x250px,
336x280px), skyscraper like (120x600,
160x600)

When you are just starting your online business finding the right products to sell online is the number one problem. Knowing where to look can help.
1. Drop Shipper Directories Drop shippers are wholesalers that will ship direct to your customers so that you don't have to invest in or store inventory. Directories of drop shippers are for sale online, but make sure you're buying a reputable one.
2. Local Businesses: You may find businesses in your backyard that offer just the right products, but are not yet into e-commerce. Offer to sell their product online in exchange for a percentage of any profits you make.
3. Crafters: Local crafters are a good source of unique products, and may be willing to reduce their prices for you if you purchase in quantity. Either buy the item outright, or set up a consignment arrangement with them.
